49 Black Sand Beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
49 Black Sand is a beach in the northwest of the Big Island of Hawaii. It is officially known as
Honoka'ope Bay Beach. Both swimming and snorkeling are great here. The sand is not so black, but still gets very hot. If there are free parking lots, security will give you a pass. But if it is full, then you may drive to the Foodland shopping center and eat there. If you return a little later, most likely that there will be free parking lots. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
