Al Hamra beach

Al Hamra is a beach in the southern suburbs of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. There are many upscale resorts. So the views are beautiful with a lot of palms. Though the scenery is not a real tropical paradise. But this is a great spot by the standards of Emirates. In addition, it is still relatively close to Dubai. There is also a shopping center nearby and a lot of space to walk around. There is a problem of strong low tides. But on the other hand, the sea is great for small children. Anyway, this is one of the best beaches in the country, while choice of good hotels is great here. Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah is a five-star hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$200 per night. This is a great property with best beach in the district. In the north end of the beach, there are also few other luxury hotels for about the same price tag - including Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort and The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach.

There are also cheaper beachfront resorts - for example Al Hamra Residence from US$100. In addition, there are few good non-beachfront 4-star hotels (10 minutes walk to the beach) - including Al Hamra Village Hotel with rooms' fares starting from US$50 per night.

Fly to Dubai international airport (DXB) or fly to Sharjah international airport (SHJ). Next get to your hotel by taxi.

The best time for a beach holiday in Ras al-Khaimah is a summer half of the year, when sea water is warm enough.
