Anamur is a resort town to the east of Antalya in Turkey. This is a quiet place being not spoiled by the mass tourism. The beach is not the best, but quite decent by Turkish standards. The main attraction is the ancient Anamurium ruins in the southwest - right near the beach. On the other side, in the northeast, there is a great fortress called Mamure Kalesi located right on the coastline as well. Rooms' fares in Anamur hotels start from as low as US$30 per night. Unlike more popular resorts, there are no upscale five-star beach hotels being so popular in Turkey. If you prefer these, it is better to stay in Antalya.

Fly to Gazipasa-Alanya international airport (GZP). Next get by bus or hire a taxi.
