Anse Baleine is a small beach on the south-east coast of
Mahe island, Seychelles. The beach is outstanding in its beauty. There are also few other interesting beaches nearby, as well as grocery stores. The only problem is shallow water during the low tide. And you won't be able to walk far from the coastline due to the house reef. But on the other hand, it is convenient for a smaller children. Snorkeling on the house reef is also good and comfortable. If waves are strong, it is easy to get to the west coast of the island (to Anse Takamaka beach) trying to find calm water. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Near Anse Baleine beach, there are several hotels with room's rates starting from US$150 per night. The most notable one is
Surfers Beach Self Catering Chalets. However, in reality all of these hotels are just cozy apartments. The difference is only in the level of luxury.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Seychelles international airport (SEZ). Next hire a taxi.
There are also cheap shuttle buses on the island with a lot of routes. Keep in mind, that often you have to change bus in the capital city of
Victoria to get from one side of the island to another.
