Anse de Nogent beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Anse de Nogent is a large beach in Basse Terre island,
Guadeloupe. The central bay area is not suitable for swimming, as the bottom is rocky. That's why, most visitors walk to the right. The east end features a lot of tree shade and good entry into the water. However, you won't feel very nice there due to the smelly sewage (probably) coming from the nearby houses. On the other hand, the extreme west end of the bay is quite different. It may offer a pleasant and completely deserted dune with a couple of trees and a view of the pasture. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Near the beach of Anse de Nogent, there is a very pleasant residential area with private villas and boutique resorts with rooms' fares starting from as low as US$70 per night. The area looks upscale - with pools, palms and pretty lawns. So, it is definitely worth to stay here at least for a few night (in case if you meet good offers).
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Guadeloupe international airport (PTP). Get to the bus stop of
Anse Vinty or even better to
Super U supermarket. Next walk a little forward along the small market, turn to the right, and walk towards the beach via the residential area.
