Anse du Petit Fort beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Anse du Petit Fort is a wild beach in the north of Basse Terre island,
Guadeloupe. There is an idyllic rural landscape around with green meadows, cows and view to the mountains. As for the beach itself, it's quite ordinary, but still very nice. There are no tourists, entry into the water is comfortable, and you may sit under the only tree. So this is a great place to relax a little, when you walk along the coast. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are no any kind of development near the beach of Anse du Petit Fort. In a theory, you may spend a night in your own tent. But camping is not popular in Guadeloupe. So it's not clear, what locals will think about it.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Guadeloupe international airport (PTP). Next get by bus to the supermarket of
Super U - Sainte Rose (very good one), walk to the sea, turn to the left and walk along the water's edge during another five minutes.
When to go [edit]
Since the beach of Anse du Petit Fort looks towards the Atlantic, in a theory there should be a lot of algae in the summer. However, there is almost no algae - nor matter what month you come. So it is quite good here even in the low season.
