Anse Major beach

Anse Major is a wild beach in the northwest of Mahe island, Seychelles. In fact, these are two different beaches located in a deep bay. The beaches are good enough, though not the best by the island's standards. However, the most interesting thing is a "road" to the bay. Anse Major trail is a rocky pathway about 2 km from Calm Sorento hotel (coordinates: -4.618829, 55.397554). The trail is rather mediocre, but destination is great. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. As for now, the closest hotel to Anse Major beach is Treasure Cove Hotel & Restaurant with rooms' rates starting from US$200 per night. It is located about 2 km to the east - within a walking distance.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Seychelles international airport (SEZ). Next hire a taxi.

There are also cheap shuttle buses on the island with a lot of routes. Keep in mind, that often you have to change bus in the capital city of Victoria to get from one side of the island to another.

When to go [edit]

It is good to travel to Seychelles any time of the year. The nature is more beautiful in the rainy season from October to April, while the dry season will give you more sunny days.
