Anzio beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Anzio is a popular resort town to the south of Rome. There are both private, as well as free stretches of the beach. The sea is shallow with a lot of breakwaters, thus being perfect for a family holiday. The Old Town is cozy with notable ancient ruins, as well as with many restaurants and cheap grocery stores. Try to avoid
Anzio Colonia, which is a boring northern suburb of Anzio with mediocre beaches. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
