Ash Shuwaymiyyah beach

Ash Shuwaymiyyah is a beach located to the east of Salalah, Oman. This is a small town without any notable attractions. However, there is a scenic canyon nearby. As for the beach, it is beautiful, but not quite suitable for swimming due to strong waves. Services are limited. There are only few beach huts. Free toilet is available at the nearby gas station. There are several hotels near the beach of Ash Shuwaymiyyah. But these are not presented on the booking sites. You may try to find it on Google Maps. Most of visitors spend the night in their own tents. However, there is no official campsite with tourist amenities.

Fly to Muscat International Airport (MCT) or fly to Salalah International Airport (SLL). Next get by bus or hire a taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Oman is spring and autumn. Summer and winter are also good enough, but sea water is cooler. In winter - because it is winter, and in summer - because there are a lot of clouds in the sky.
