Atacames beach

Atacames is a popular resort area in the northern Ecuador. The beach is not very good, and besides there are always a lot of people (mostly locals). For a more relaxing holiday it is better to choose Tonsupa located to the north. As for the south off Atacames there are secluded villages of Sua and Same. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Fly to Quito International Airport (UIO). Next take a bus or fly to Esmeraldas airport (ESM).

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Ecuador is a warm season from December to June. The rest of time the weather is also comfortable, but sea water is too cold.
