Au Cap beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Au Cap is a low key beach on the east coast of
Mahe island, Seychelles. The beach is beautiful. There is a lot of shade from trees and palms, as well as canonical Seychelles views of huge boulders. Usually there are just a few people here. And the place becomes crowded on Sunday only. There are many cafes and supermarkets around, as well as some other interesting beaches within a walking distance. You can also travel around the island by bus. However, if your hotel is not located right near the bus stop, it will be better to rent a car. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Near the beach of Au Cap, there is a great choice of hotels with rooms' fares ranging from US$100 to US$300 per night. In most cases, these are budget guesthouses or luxury villas. Most of the accommodation options are very good. Especially if you don't focus on the cheapest options.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Seychelles international airport (SEZ). Next hire a taxi.
There are also cheap shuttle buses on the island with a lot of routes. Keep in mind, that often you have to change bus in the capital city of
Victoria to get from one side of the island to another.
When to go [edit]
It is good to travel to Seychelles any time of year. The nature is more beautiful in the rainy season from October to April, while dry season will give you more sunny days.
