Balfate beach

Balfate (Balfete) is a beach on the Caribbean coast of Honduras. It is located near the eastern border of Atlantida region. It's not the best beach by the Caribbean standards, but it's still very good. There are occasional palms ashore. The sand is not white, but quite pleasant. Entry into the water is smooth, without strong waves and without algae. While scenic mountains can be seen around. The village has some tourist amenities. But the beach never becomes overcrowded. Hotel Playa Balfate and Hotel Marin are the two major hotels in Balfete. These are not presented in the online booking systems. But in most cases, you can come find a free room after you entered the town, - just ask their receptions.
