Bangaram island

Bangaram is an atoll in the group of Laccadive islands in India. This is the only place in Laccadives where alcohole is officially permitted. The beaches are beautiful. There are also few uninhabited islands nearby, that are perfect as a day trip destinations. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Bangaram Island Resort is the only hotel on the island. Moreover the island has no any villages with locals. At the time of writing of this article, the hotel is most likely to be closed for an indefinite period.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Agatti Airport (AGX). Next take a helicopter or local boat. Agatti and Bangaram islands are located not far from each other, so inter island connection is very easy.

You can also get by ferry from Kochi to the Agatti island. One way takes about 14-20 hours.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the Laccadives is a dry season from October to April.
