Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru is an island in the
North Male atoll, Maldives. In fact, this is more like a mini-atoll with its own reef and shallow lagoon with excellent snorkeling and diving. The beach is also fine, though not so good as neighboring
Angsana island, which is accessible by the free boat that runs once per 2 hours. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru is a five-star hotel with the minimum room rate of US$600 per night. But fot the most dates minimum price starts from US$1000.
Keep in mind that beachfront bungalows are located very close to each other, so there's some noise from the neighbors (especially children). By the way, it is not good idea to take children with you, because all of the cheaper rooms are very small and made for two only.
There is also no pool, and the island is totally boring. However, this hotel is focused on honeymooners, thus assuming that they don't need anything except for the good nature. Of course, all that disadvantages are not critical, but spending $1000+ per night you may wish to get more.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Male international airport (MLE). Next take a 25 minutes journey by the hotel's speedboat. The total cost of the two way transfer is US$185 per adult, US$93 per child 4-11 years old, infants are for free.
