Barceloneta beach

Barceloneta is the main beach of Barcelona - luxurious, with palms, bars and superb buildings. In fact, there are three artificial bays (from south to north): Platja de Sant Sebastia, Platja de Sant Miquel and Platja del Somorrostro. Of course, it's overcrowded by tourists and annoying street vendors (mostly refugees from southern countries). However, this is a great relaxed place with positive vibe. The cost of beach hotels in Barceloneta starts from about US$200 per night, while the famous "sail" resort W Hotel Barcelona starts from US$500. However, if you move a little off the coastline, you can find many options for US$100-150. As for the whole Barcelona, it is possible to rent a decent room from US$80 per night.

Fly to Barcelona international airport (BCN). Next get to Barceloneta underground (metro) station of the Line L4.
