Betalbatim beach

Betalbatim is one of the most relaxed beaches in the Central Goa. It's not crowded, because the landscapes are not so picturesque as on some neighboring beaches. There are mostly trees ashore, - not palms. In addition, a significant coastal area is protected against erosion, that is looking somewhat ugly. However, the swimming in a shallow water is very comfortable, because there are never strong waves. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Near Betalbatim beach, there are mainly expensive accommodation options (by the Goan standards) with rooms' rates starting from US$50 per night. These are quite comfortable, but the feeling is not so pretty like at some international resorts.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Goa international airport - Dabolim (GOI). Next hire a taxi or take a bus.

Please note, that if you want to get off the area, Betalbatim has a very expensive taxi service. It looks like, that a transport mafia holds on the fares.

When to go [edit]

The best time to relax on the beach of Betalbatim is a dry period from November to April.
