Blue Lagoon is a group of islands in the west of
Rangiroa atoll, making a small lagoon. This is a beautiful and unusual place on the edge of the world. You may walk around the picturesque palms islands, or snorkel on a shallow water. Please note, that the bottom is rocky, so this is not a place for a perfect beach holiday. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels directly near the Blue Lagoon. Most hotels of Rangiroa Atoll are located in the airport area. There are both budget guesthouses with room's rates starting from US$70 per night, as well as upscale beachfront resorts.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tahiti International Airport (PPT). Next fly to
Rangiroa airport (RGI). Then take a daily tour to the Blue Lagoon - from US$100 per person. The boat sails for about an hour through the large lagoon of Rangiroa Atoll, so you should be ready for the seasick.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday on the islands of Rangiroa Atoll is a dry period from April to September.
