Boston Beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Boston Beach is a notable surfer beach in the north-east of
Jamaica. Despite its location in an enclosed bay, there are often good waves (in all respects). However, swimming conditions are usually quite Ok as well. The beach is popular among locals, thus being a great place unspoiled by the mass tourism. It is often plays reggae loudly, - this is Jamaica, bro! Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Near the beach there are few good hotels with room's fares starting from $80 per night. In this respect, Boston Beach is more preferable than neighbouring beaches located to the west, - where you'll have to move to Port Antonio for the hotel.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Montego Bay international airport (MBJ) or fly to
Kingston airport (KIN). Next hire a taxi to Boston beach. As a reference for the taxi driver, you can give
Boston Jerk Centre (famous fair of the grilled meat) or
Great Huts Resort.
When to go [edit]
In Jamaica, any time of year is suitable for a beach holiday. However, each period has its own feature. Summer is a hurricane season, the winter gets crowds of tourists, while October is the most rainy time.
