Bottle Beach beach

Bottle Beach is a secluded beach in the north of Phangan island, Thailand. There are some tourists arriving with daily visit. But there is almost no a living soul in the morning and evening. The views are scenic. But it's no more beautiful than other beaches of the island. There is a real problem of garbage from the hotels they dump in the backyards. In addition, sometimes it brings a lot of trash from the sea during storms. You can get here by boat, or by SUV via bad road, or along hiking trails through the jungle. Hotels [edit]

In the hotels of Bottle Beach, rooms' rates start from US$10 per night. While decent beachfront resort with pool start from as low as US$30. So it is very cheap here. However, it's not so good here for long stayers. Since there is no shops, while transport accessibility is very poor.

How to get there [edit]

You may get from Bangkok to Phangan island by Lomprayah high-speed catamaran. But the best is to fly to Samui island, and next get by ferry from Maenam beach to Phangan island.

There are two options to fly from Bangkok to Samui:

1. Direct flight to Samui Airport (USM). This way is most convenient, but also the most expensive.

2. Fly to Surat Thani airport (URT) by AirAsia low-coster. Then get by taxi (1200 bahts) to Donsak Pier. Then get to Samui by any ferry (Raja ferry is the best, but other services are also good). It is the best value for money way of getting to Koh Samui, but takes a little longer time, as the road from Suratthani airport to Samui takes a few hours.

The best time for a beach holiday in Pha-ngan island is a dry season from January to April, as well as second dry season from June to September.
