Cabinda beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Cabinda is the northern exclave of Angola notable for its offshore oil platforms, thus being the wealthiest region in the country (though most of the locals are very poor). The beaches are surprisingly ugly, as the sand is dark, and the water is not clear. The tourist infrastructure is very bad. However, it is still possible to find relatively good spots to relax. Most locals prefer
Praia Futilia beach, located to the north of the main Cabinda town. There are hotels, bars and even a lifeguard service. Shore and seabed: sand.
