Caladesi island

Caladesi is an island in Florida on the Gulf Coast. It is a national park with a beach and interesting walking trail. Despite some awards the beach is not so beautiful as popular beaches of Tampa. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

There are no hotels on the beach, as well as camping is prohibited. The nearest hotels can be found a bit to the south in Clearwater beach.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Tampa International Airport (TPA). Next take a bus or hire a taxi to Clearwater beach and walk to the north.

Alternatively, you may drive to the Honeymoon Island, and next take a public passenger ferry ($9 for the return trip).

You can also get to Caladesi Island by a private boat ($6 per boat / kayak is $2 per person).

When to go [edit]

The best time to travel to Caladesi Island are May and October. The sea water is rather cold in winter, while the period from June to September is a rainy season.
