Cape Cross beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Cape Cross is a beach on the Atlantic coast of Namibia, known for its huge colony of seals (
Cape Cross Seal Reserve). The smell is terrible everywhere, but the view is worth to stay here for a while. There is a good boardwalk over the animals. You may also swim in the ocean a little further away, but Namibia may offer much more comfortable places for a beach holiday. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Cape Cross Lodge is the only accomodation option near the beach. It is poorly presented in the international booking systems. So the best is to stay slightly to the south - in
Henties Bay.
