Fly to
Guadeloupe international airport (PTP). Next take a ferry from the port of Pointe-a-Pitre to Grand-Bourg port of Marie-Galante island and hire a taxi.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Capesterre de Marie Galante is a dry period from January to June. Keep in mind, that there are definite high and low seasons. The bad period is usually from April to October, - when there are a lot of smelling seagrass ashore. As for the rest of time, everything is pretty nice, but the wind is strong enough attracting occasional kitesurfers.

The islands are safe, beautiful and not very expensive. Even if you have a limited budget, it is possible to
rent a room from $US40 per night and to buy foods in supermarkets.
Martinique hotels are about 10% more expensive compared to those in Guadeloupe.
