Cayo Carenero is an island with infinite beach in
Los Roques group of Venezuela. All the southern coast of the island is a perfect shallow lagoon with white sand and clear water, while the north coast is good for snorkeling. This place is popular, but you can always find a secluded area. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
The nearest hotels are located in the island of Gran Roque, as well as in some other islands of the archipelago. Overnight camping is prohibited in all the territory of the National Park.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Caracas international airport (CCS), next fly to
Los Roques Airport (LRV).
Take a tour or just hire a boat to Cayo Carenero island (half an hour per way). To visit the island, it is necessary to obtain permit (without any fee) in Gran Roque.
When to go [edit]
Cayo Carenero has great weather any time of year, but the best time is a the dry season from September to May.
