Cayo Levisa is an island near the northern coast of
Cuba. The island has one of the best beaches in Cuba, as well as an excellent diving and snokling. Rare black corals can be met here. Shore and seabed: sand.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
Low key
Horizontes Cayo Levisa is the only hotel on the island. Rooms are rather basic, but cheap.
If you don't want to stay at the hotel of Cayo Levisa, it is possible to take a daily trip to the island. In this case the boat from Palma Rubia and back will cost 25 CUC. This price also includes a lunch on the island.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Havana Airport (HAV) or fly to
Varadero Airport (VRA). Next get to
Pinar Del Rio by
Viazul bus.
Next get by taxi to a small coastal town of
Palma Rubia. Next take a boat trip for about half an hour. The boat fee is included into the room's rate of the Cayo Levisa hotel.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday on the northern coast of Cuba is a warm summer half of the year. It's also very good here in winter, but sea water is a bit cooler than in summer.
