Cayo Madrisqui (Madriski) is one of the best islands in
Los Roques archipelago, Venezuela. The sand is white, and sea water is azure, - as elsewhere around, but there is also something unique. Firstly, there are trees with saving shadow, - that can be rarely met on the other islands of Los Roques. Secondly, there is a fishing village (
Cayo Pirata). It's a miracle, but it survived after the island obtained the status of National Park. We recommend local cafes with delicious and cheap seafood. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
It is unlikely to rent a room in the island's village. However, the neighboring island of Gran Roque (a one with the airport) hosts almost all the hotels of Los Roques.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Caracas international airport (CCS), next fly to
Los Roques Airport (LRV). The island of Cayo Madrisqui is visited by numerous excursions and water taxis. Please note, that more expensive hotels of Gran Roque usually provide a free boat transfer to Cayo Madrisqui.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday on Cayo Madrisqui island is a dry season from September to May (lobster season lasts from November to April). The rainy season from June to August is not so good, but anyway it's also quite Ok.
