Cherai beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Cherai is a popular beach in the northern suburbs of Kochi, Kerala, India. The swimming is comfortable - with smooth sandy bottom and without strong waves. There are many cheap cafes ashore. It is hard to get to the beach. The best is to get by the main road to turn-off to Cherai beach and next take a tuktuk. The place becomes crowded during the weekends. But you can walk to the left or to the right - to find a secluded spot. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.
