Cheung Sha beach

Cheung Sha is a chain of long beaches in the south of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The beaches are surrounded by beautiful mountains, popular among hang gliders enthusiasts. We recommended to swim only in areas protected by the shark nets. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

There are no many hotels near the beach, and they are not presented in the international booking systems. But in general Lantau island has a lot of good and cheap hotels, including few options near the airport.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). City can be reached by bus or by train. South road the Lantau island can be reached by buses No. 1, 2, 4 and A35 from Mui Wo Ferry Pier bus terminal.

When to go [edit]

It's too rainy in Hong Kong in summer, while winter is too cold. October (and maybe April) is the only month perfect both for a beach holiday, as well as for excursions.
