Chiatona beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Chiatona is the most northern beach on the Ionian Sea in the Italian region of Apulia. The city beach is overcrowded - both on paid sunbeds, as well as in the free areas. However, if you walk to the left or to the right, a lot of secluded spots can be easily found. Miles long wild coast heads to the west without a single settlement. The sea is most suitable for smaller children, as entry into the water is smooth, and it takes a long time to walk to the depth. The town has no any amenities or night life, while the nearest supermarket is located 5 km away. So the car is mandatory, when you stay here. Shore and seabed: sand.
