Civitavecchia beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Civitavecchia is the largest sea port of Italy, and it's the nearest to Rome. Strange, but it has good city beaches with
Il Pirgo being the most notable one (it is the nearest to the railway station as well). There are large boulders dotted about 5 meters off the coastline, as well as a superb pier looking like an ancient aqueduct. Few bars play loud music and offer sunbeds with parasols. Shore and seabed: pebble, stones.
