Cluny beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Cluny (Clugny) is a low key beach on the Caribbean coast of Basse Terre island in
Guadeloupe. It could be the best beach on the island, but the reality is disappointing. The sand is white, there are no waves, and entry into the water is smooth. That's good. The east end of the bay is quite crowded even during the low season. But the trees are right near the water. It's not so bad, but backside of the beach is ugly (however like almost everywhere in Guadeloupe). As for the west side of the bay, it is visually more beautiful and without crowds. But it has one big problem, - a noisy highway right behind the trees. This is the reason why nobody wants to stay here. All of these downsides are really annoying. So it is not worth to plan too much time for this place. Shore and seabed: sand.
