Cousteau beach

Cousteau is a beach located right near the Nice airport, France. So main attraction is watching the airplanes. There is also second killer feature: swans! They are not afraid of people. So it is even possible to feed them. Anyway, this is a great beach for children - with comfortable swimming in shallow water. There are pebbles ashore, but entry into the water is sandy. The only problem is river flowing into the sea nearby. So sea water is muddy during heavy rains. However, this is not a real problem. Shore and seabed: sand, pebbles. [edit]

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Nice international airport (NCE). Next get by train to Saint-Laurent-du-Var station.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday on the French Riviera is a warm period in August. Since this is the only time, when sea water is relatively warm.
