Cowrie is a small paradise island located near the east coast of Palawan island, Philippines. It is also known as
Ramesamay Island. Famous
Cowrie Island restaurant is just a snack bar, since no real dishes. The beach is good. There are many picturesque trees and palms. While swimming in shallow clear water is great even for small children. Unfortunately, the snorkeling is bad. It is possible to get here in 15 minutes by boat from the
Honda Bay pier. Entrance fee to the island is 100 pesos per person. For 300 pesos, you can also rent beach house giving good shade. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels in the Cowrie Island. However, it is possible to spend a night in your own tent. Unfortunately, the shower has salt water. So it makes no sense to stay here for a long time.

The best time for a beach holiday in Palawan island is a dry season from January to May.
