Deep Bay beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Deep Bay is a beach on the Caribbean coast of
Antigua island - in the southern suburbs of St. John's major town. As the name suggests, the beach is located inside a sheltered bay. So there are no waves most of time. South end of the coastline was spoiled by Royalton Resort. They cut down all the vegetation and put a million sunbeds instead. But north end of the beach is still beautiful and not overcrowded. Atop, there are ruins of
Fort Barrington featuring some historical background. Shore and seabed: sand.

Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort & Casino is an upscale five-star property, notable for several overwater bungalows. This is rare case for the Caribbean, thought not make much sense. There are also few villas located on the southern hill - with rooms' rates starting from US$200 per night.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Antigua international airport (ANU). Next hire a taxi.
When to go [edit]
You can relax in Antigua any time of year. Summer is considered to be off-season due to the heat and hurricane season. But it's still a great time anyway.
