Dhonakulhi island
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Dhonakulhi is an island resort in the north of
Haa Dhaalu atoll, Maldives. Beaches are good enough, but not outstanding. As for the swimming, it's rather uncomfortable in most spots - due to the rocky bottom. But snorkeling on the house reef is great. The island is relatively long - about 1.5 km. So you'll have the space to walk around. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa is a 5-star property with rooms' rates starting from US$700 per night. Basic price tag is quite reasonable. However, drinks and additional services are extremely expensive. So the final bill is overpriced for the service they provide.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maldives international airport (MLE). Next make a domestic flight to
Hanimaadhoo airport (HAQ). Next take 15-minutes trip by the resort's speedboat. Total transfer from Male and back is US$500 for adult, US$400 for child below 12 years old, US$150 for infant below 2 years old.
