Diamond beach

Diamond is an upscale beach on the southeast coast of Hainan island, China. In Chinese, it is written as 钻石海岸一期 (aka Diamond Coast Phase 1). There are many palms ashore, entry into the water is comfortable, and beautiful buildings can be seen behind the palms. For unclear reasons, there are usually just a few visitors near the coastline. That is great! Probably, the reason is that, many tourists spend most of their time in the pools of their expensive resorts. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Near Diamond beach, there are several high-rise buildings with rooms' rates starting from US$500 per night. Near the water's edge, there are also villas with private pools - from US$2000 per night.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sanya international airport (SYX). Then hire a taxi. Or you may also fly to Haikou international airport (HAK). But it is located in the north of the island - far from most tourist attractions. You can move around the island by buses. But it can be hard to understand how local transport is operating.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the south-west of China is April and October-November. The main problem is that the summer is a rainy season (from May to September), while it is too cold in winter (from December to March).
