Duqm beach

Duqm is a beach near the major town of ​Haima in Oman. It is mostly sandy desert without any trees. In addition, surrounding mountains are low and not quite scenic. However, this beach is notable, since there are no strong ocean waves, nor dangerous currents. It is quite rare case for Oman. Crowne Plaza Duqm is a four-star hotel with pool. Rooms' fares start from as low as US$100 per night. This is one of the best hotels in the area, and definitely worth the money despite minor problems. Unfortunately, sea bottom near the hotel is rocky. However, if you walk a little to the right, you'll find a good sandy beach.

Fly to Muscat International Airport (MCT) or fly to Salalah International Airport (SLL). Next get by bus or hire a taxi.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Oman is spring and autumn. Summer and winter are also good enough, but sea water is cooler. In winter - because it is winter, and in summer - because there are a lot of clouds in the sky.
