Durres West Beach

Durres West Beach is a beach in the west of the major seaside resort of Durres, Albania. It is also known as Kallmit & Curilla. This is a relatively good city beach with sand and scenic views of the mountains. Of course, it is overcrowded during the weekends. Unfortunately, there is often a lot of garbage ashore, as well as algae in the water. However, the swimming is comfortable. So this is quite a decent option to swim in the sea, when you are in the city. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Right near the beach, there is a large choice of hotels and apartments with rooms' fares ranging from US$70 to US$150 per night. The place is under construction. So it will be overdeveloped soon.

Fly to Tirana international airport (TIA). Next take a taxi or get by bus.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Albania is a warm period from June to September.
