El Mamurah beach

El Mamurah is a beach in the eastern suburbs of Alexandria, Egypt. Unlike western suburbs, the sand is not white, while sea water is muddy. However, this is a good place with many tourist amenities. Commercial areas with sunbeds rental are the best. But free areas are also good enough. The beach is located far from the city center. So it's not overcrowded and not overdeveloped with buildings. In the south end of El Mamurah beach, there is a good choice of hotels and apartments. The cheapest rooms start from as low as US$50. While in beachfront hotels, rooms' fares starts from about US$100 per night.

The best time for a beach holiday on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt is a warm period from June to October.
