El Mgaseb beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
El Mgaseb is a beach to the east of Tabarka major town in Tunisia. It can also be pronounced as
El Maqasab. There is a campsite, as well as two cafes called
Abattoirs Nefza and
Bellevue. The place is beautiful with comfortable swimming and scenic views. You may also find shaded spots both in rocks, as well as under trees. Natural pool in rocks is a killer feature of this place. While at the sides, there are good sandy beaches with occasional areas of rocky bottom being suitable for snorkeling. In August, there is a reasonable amount of tourists. Which is very good for those being afraid to stay in completely wild spots. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
El Mgaseb is a great campsite in a unique location. The cost of overnight stay is about US$4 per person, which is rather expensive by the Tunisian standards. In addition, it is possible to get here only by good 4WD SUV vehicle along the sandy coastline. But if you don't have one, you'll have to walk 400 meters from the road. Coordinates at the road to park are 37.063454, 8.962282. Sometimes there are donkeys to carry heavy luggage - for an additional fee.
How to get there [edit]
