Elephant beach - is a beach popular mainly among the Indians in the north-east of
Havelock island. It was very nice here, however, the tsunami significantly damaged coastline in 2004. And yes. There are no elephants on the beach. Shore and seabed: sand.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
There are no hotels directly near the beach. Feel free to choose any suitable hotel in the north-east of the island.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Andaman Islands Airport. Next take one of the numerous ferries from Port Blair to Havelock Island. Usually it is difficult to buy tickets, as well as to get to the ferry. So try to buy tickets in advance (at the port, in a travel agency or in the hotel), and choose more expensive ferry. It is best to hire a boat to get to the beach.
When to go [edit]
The best time to visit Andaman Islands is a dry season from November to April.
