Exmouth - Turquoise Bay is a beach at Exmouth district in the north of Australian
Coral Coast. This is one of the best beaches in Australia, and it's almost unknown outside the country. White sand and clear water remind Maldives. Unfortunately, coastal vegetation is poor, and most of the dunes are closed for the tourists. Near the beach there is
Cape Range National Park with stunning canyons. Shore and seabed: sand.
[edit]
Hotels [edit]
A little to the south of Turquoise Bay there are only campsites, including some luxury options. The real hotels can be found only in Exmouth town, located 12 miles from the beach (25 miles by the coastal road). Room rates start from US$100 per night.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Broome Airport (BME). Next drive a car about 500 miles to the south-west.
If you don't want a long road drive, it would be better to fly first to
Perth international airport (PER), and next fly to
Learmonth Airport (LEA) located not far from Exmouth.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in the Turquoise Bay of Exmouth is a warm period from January to May. The rest of the time sunbathing and swimming are also comfortable, but sea water is a little cold, while it's not too hot on the shore.
