Falhumaafushi island

Falhumaafushi is an island resort in the east of Gaafu atoll, Maldives. The island is rather beautiful, but entry into the water is mostly rocky. On the other hand, the snorkeling is just great! However, it is common to say like that, when it is impossible to swim :) You can also walk via the bridge to neighboring Dhigurah island, where beaches are slightly better. The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi is a 5-star property with rooms' fares starting from US$500 per night. Actually, there are no complaints about the hotel. The only bad thing is that the beach is so mediocre.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Maldives international airport (MLE). Next fly to Kooddoo airport (GKK) or fly to Kaadedhdhoo airport (KDM). Next take 5-minutes trip by the hotel's speedboat. Total cost of a roundtrip transfer from Male is US$400 per adult and US$320 per child.

When to go [edit]

You can relax any time of year in the Maldives. But the best is a winter half of the year.
