Fernandez Bay beach
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Fernandez Bay is a beach on the west coast of
Cat Island, Bahamas. It is located near
New Bight airport. Due to its location in a protected bay, there are no waves, while views are beautiful. There are mostly trees ashore, but few picturesque palms are also available. Unfortunately, there are always a lot of mosquitoes in the evening. So it is worth to take with you different good repellents. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Fernandez Bay Village is a great 3-star boutique hotel. Definitely, this is not an upscale resort destination. However, the hotel does its best to make you feel like home - or even better.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Nassau international airport (NAS). Next make a domestic flight to
New Bight airport (TBI) or to Arthur's Town airport (ATC).
When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to Cat Island is a dry season in the winter half of the year. However, the summer is also good. Since sea water is much warmer, and there are no crowds of tourists.
