Florence Bay beach

Florence Bay is a beach on the northeast coast of the Magnetic island in Australia. Due to bad transport accessability there are usually just a few men at the moment. In general, the beach is comfortable in all respects, and it's relatively large. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

There are no hotels near the Florence Bay, and this is the main charm of this place. Feel free to choose any hotel you like on the island, and come here as a daytrip destination.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Townsville international airport (TSV). Next take a bus to the stop "Flinders St at Wickham Street" (routes 200, 201, 206).

From Townsville Breakwater marina take a ferry to Nelly Bay of the Magnetic island. Next take a bus #250 to the stop Horseshoe Bay Rd at The Forts and walk 1 km to the north-east.

The best time for a beach holiday in the Florence Bay of Magnetic Island is a dry season from April to November.
