Foa island

Foa is an island in Ha'apai group of Tonga. The best beach is located on the northern tip of the island, while the west coast hosts few local villages. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Sandy Beach Resort (from US$200) and Matafonua Lodge (from US$100 per night) are the only hotels in Foa island. Both are located in the north of the island, but the last one has a better location.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Tonga International Airport (TBU). Next fly to Haʻapai-Lifuka Airport (HPA) or take a ferry to Lifuka island.

There is a causeway connecting neighbouring islands of Lifuka and Foa, so taxi is the best transportation option between the islands.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in Ha'apai archipelago is a dry season from May to October.
