Fort Royal beach

Fort Royal is a hotel's beach on Basse Terre island in Guadeloupe. In fact, these are two different beaches, - one looking to the west, and another wild beach looking to the north. So you can choose a more suitable option - depending on the wind direction. There are a lot of trees and palms everywhere, and there is no algae problem in the low season. Langley Resort (aka Fort Royal) is a 3-star property with rooms' rates starting from US$170 per night. It makes sense to take more expensive beach bungalows.

There are also few more guesthouses (from US$70) located a little further away from the coastline. In any case, you have right to use the whole beach. Sorry, but the nearest good supermarket is located far to the east - in Saint Rose town.

Fly to Guadeloupe international airport (PTP). Next hire a taxi.

The best time for a holiday on Fort Royal beach is a dry season from January to June.
