Funafuti island

Funafuti is the capital island in Tuvalu in Oceania. This is a romantic and cozy place, but not suitable for tourism. There are few good beaches, but most of Funafuti covered with different trash. Shore and seabed: stones, sand. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Funafuti hotels are extremely cheap by the standards of Oceania, but they are quite basic. The rooms are so bad, that in fact you pay for bed only.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Fiji international airport (NAN). Next fly to Funafuti airport (FUN). Almost all the hotels of the island are located just near the airport. You can walk around the atoll, but it's best to rent a bike. Hire a boat to visit the nearby islets.

When to go [edit]

The best time to visit the island of Funafuti is a dry season from April to September.
