Furaveri is a private island in
Raa atoll of Maldives. There is just a small beach area being good enough for the swimming, while the sea bottom is mostly coral and is suitable for snorkeling only. However, the home reef is rather mediocre, so it is worth to take paid dive tours. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Furaveri Island Resort & Spa is a 5 star property with rooms' rates starting from as low as US$250 per night. Value for money is great, though it's not a true five stars. The food in the restaurant is very poor, and all drinks are for an additional fee. So it is worth to bring bottled water from Male.
The best stretch of beach is near bungalows # 103-110. Please note, that the hotel is focused on Italians, while all the rest of nationalities feel like a second class.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Maldives international airport (MLE). Next get by a seaplane (US$490 adult / US$290 children 2-11). Or you may take transfer by the domectic regular flight + speedboat (US$400 for adult / US$130 for children 7-11 years old).
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Furaveri island is a dry season from January to April.
