Gemia Island

Gemia Island is a private islet located near the main Kapas island of Malaysia. There is just one hotel, so no crowds of tourists. The island is beautiful, with good snorkeling and several beaches. Unfortunately, beaches are rather mediocre by Kapas standards, but still decent enough. It is worth to stay here for two nights - to get a real island escape. Shore and seabed: sand, rocks. [edit]

Hotels [edit]

Gem Island Resort & Spa is a 3-star property with rooms' rates starting from US$150 per night. The hotel was very good many years ago, but as for now it's totally outdated. However, it is still good enough for the money.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Next get by domestic flight to Kota Terengganu airport (TGG). Then get by taxi to the pier of Marang town, and get by speedboat to Kapas island.

Attention! You should always ask your hotel about transfer options, as well as to book boat in advance for exact time and exact pier.
